Welcome To Friends, Inc.

The Mission

It is our mission to provide support to patients with serious illnesses or disabilities, enabling them to maintain their independence through caring volunteers.

Friends, Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, religion, national origin, age, gender, or handicap.

What Are We All About?

When a person is diagnosed with a serious illness or disability, they face a variety of new situations, treatments, and changes in lifestyle brought about by their illness.

Friends, Inc. offers caring volunteer services in Huntsville and Madison County to support patients and their families and to help them cope with these new situations and issues. Volunteer support services are provided by one person to another in the home, hospital, or nursing home.

Friends, Inc. volunteers receive ongoing training and support. Volunteers are offered volunteer opportunities that meet their interests and availability. There is no minimum time commitment for volunteers with Friends, Inc.
